Casual, Business Casual, or Costumes!
Feel free to stay in your ceremony outfit, change into casual or business casual wear, or wear your favorite Halloween costume. Kids are especially encouraged to wear costumes!
Strict venue requirements
The Toledo Zoo strictly prohibits bringing in any outside beverages or alcohol. Any outside alcohol discovered on premises will be confiscated immediately and we will be fined up to $1,000.
Please do not smuggle anything in—we are looking directly at you, Rosenbalms!
Per zoo regulations and liability rules, shoes must remain on at all times anywhere on zoo grounds. This strictly applies inside the aquarium exhibit spaces, restrooms, and on the dance floor—no barefoot dancing permitted!

Logistics & details
Absolutely not. Zoo security and staff strictly enforce their zero-tolerance policy. If outside alcohol is caught, it will be confiscated on the spot and we will be hit with a fine of up to $1,000. Drinks will be provided inside!
No. Zoo safety policy mandates that footwear must be worn at all times across the entire property, including the aquarium dance floor. Bring comfy dancing shoes or flats!
Park in the Toledo Zoo Broadway lot at 2683 Broadway St., Toledo, OH 43609. Note that while Zoo Security actively patrols the lot throughout the evening, the lot itself is unattended.
Head to the main zoo entrance gate where a zoo attendant will greet you. A zoo staff member will also be there with a golf cart shuttle to drive guests directly from the entrance right to the Aquarium!
The aquarium touch tank will be open exclusively during cocktail hour from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Make sure to arrive during this hour if you or your kids want hands-on interaction with the marine life!
Yes! Everyone is invited to enjoy the special day, and kids especially are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes for the reception at the aquarium.
No! Both the church ceremony and aquarium reception feature open, unassigned seating. Mingle freely among the tables and exhibits throughout the evening.
Dinner will be a delicious buffet catered directly by the Toledo Zoo starting at 6:00 PM. Please make note of any allergies or dietary restrictions in your RSVP below.
For the safety and comfort of the marine animals, please refrain from using camera flashes inside the Aquarium.
Yes! City trick-or-treating in the area runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please take extra care and drive cautiously around the neighborhood and the Broadway entrance, as plenty of kids and families will be out on the streets!
